About the position

CBS O&O in Miami (WFOR) is seeking a dynamic Multi-Skilled Journalist (MSJ) who is passionate about original storytelling and local news. The MSJ will be responsible for developing and executing enterprise content, covering breaking news, and producing engaging stories for various platforms. This role requires a strong on-camera presence and technical skills to shoot, write, and edit broadcast-quality video.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise content on a daily basis
• Cover breaking news when assigned
• Shoot, write, and edit packages for daily newscasts
• Produce content for X, Facebook, and other social media platforms
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Proven ability to shoot and edit broadcast quality video for linear and digital platforms
• Knowledge of Grass Valley Edius editing platform or similar platform
• Knowledge of Broadcast ENG cameras, lighting, audio and LiveU
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required
• Must be a team player who can multi-task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Journalism degree is preferred
