About the position

The General Manager of Restaurants at Eataly is responsible for directing the front of house operations across all restaurants within the location. This role involves maximizing profitability while ensuring adherence to the company's mission, values, and quality standards. The General Manager leads a team of Restaurant Assistant General Managers and collaborates closely with both front and back of house teams to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the front of house operations of all restaurants at Eataly.
  • Organize and direct restaurant operations to maximize profitability.
  • Set departmental goals and lead a team of managers.
  • Prepare weekly updates on restaurant performance and collaborate with corporate leaders.
  • Assist with employee hiring, training, payroll, scheduling, and evaluations.
  • Estimate food and beverage needs and manage requisitions and purchases.
  • Document, investigate, and resolve employee and guest incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of front of house management experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and motivational skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Italian cuisine and wine
