About the position

The Multi-Unit Maintenance Technician position is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of our Dunkin' locations in the Leominster and Woburn areas. This role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring that our stores are in top condition, addressing both cosmetic and mechanical repairs as needed. The technician will be responsible for traveling between multiple locations, which requires a flexible schedule and the ability to manage time effectively. The position demands a proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on preventative measures to avoid future issues. In this role, the technician will engage in facilities maintenance that encompasses a wide range of tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and cosmetic repairs. The technician will also be responsible for equipment calibrations, modifications, and repairs, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. Daily tasks will include checking, repairing, and replacing various components such as valves, motors, controls, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, and locks. The technician will need to diagnose and remedy problems, troubleshoot issues, and maintain proper documentation and tracking for preventative maintenance on properties and equipment. Collaboration with contracted landscaping vendors is also a key aspect of this role, ensuring that the property grounds are well-maintained. The technician will maintain a spare parts inventory and requisition parts as necessary, while also adhering to safety standards and applicable OSHA requirements. Communication with the Operations Department, including District Managers, is essential to ensure that all maintenance issues are addressed promptly. The technician will complete daily work and travel logs and must be prepared to perform other duties as necessary to support the overall maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

  • Facilities maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and cosmetic repairs
  • Equipment calibrations, modifications, and repairs
  • Check, repair and/or replace valves, motors, controls, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, locks
  • Diagnose and remedy problems, troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Preventative Maintenance on properties and equipment to include proper documentation and tracking
  • Work with contracted landscaping vendors to ensure property grounds are maintained
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and requisition parts for systems
  • Maintain safety standards for employees and guests; Apply applicable OSHA requirements
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Operations Department including District Managers
  • Complete work and travel logs daily
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Daily travel within region
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Requirements

  • HVAC, plumbing, basic carpentry and light electrical knowledge
  • General knowledge of small appliance repair and maintenance
  • One to three years of maintenance experience preferred
  • Basic phone and computer skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Ability to clearly communicate with supervisors, co-workers, vendors and sub-contractors
  • Able to work a varied schedule, rotating weekends, on-call, occasional holidays
  • Repeated walking, bending, reaching, climbing, twisting, pushing, pulling and lifting of material/equipment up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
