About the position

The Technical Support Engineer I (TSE I) at GE Healthcare is responsible for driving customer satisfaction through service excellence by providing technical support and counsel both remotely and onsite. This role serves as the technical resource for service-related escalations regarding Philips CT systems, ensuring effective resolution of system performance issues for Field Engineers, Client Service Technicians, and customers. The position is remote, requiring the candidate to work from their home office in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and on-site technical support for Philips CT systems.
  • Utilize field experience to support Field Engineers, Client Service Technicians, and customers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modality products and service expertise.
  • Utilize the GEHC escalation process to resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the Problem Solution Database (PSDB) and improve productivity tools.
  • Support cost improvement initiatives for the modality.
  • Act as a change agent in areas such as product serviceability and reliability.
  • Manage improvements in business processes to maximize competitiveness.
  • Increase the number of customer systems connected to the internet for better troubleshooting.
  • Work with engineering teams to drive product quality and resolve escalations.
  • Coach and train Field Engineers to ensure technical and customer skills are current.
  • Identify field process improvements and quality improvements.
  • Travel to customer sites for installations and escalations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in the repair and maintenance of Philips CT systems as an FE II and/or FE III.
  • High School Diploma/GED AND 8+ years of experience servicing mechanical and/or electrical equipment, OR an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field AND 5 years of experience servicing mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult technical issues with advanced knowledge in applicable systems.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice-to-haves

  • Formal training and expertise on the latest Philips CT platforms.
  • Training on the latest Philips PET/CT and/or MR products.
  • Ability to work from home in a dedicated office space with high-speed internet.
