About the position
The Multifamily Construction Superintendent will oversee the construction of multifamily projects in Houston, TX, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves project planning, cost control, project administration, fostering relationships with subcontractors and management, ensuring safety compliance, and developing team members.
Responsibilities
- Review plans and specifications with the Project Manager and develop project schedules.
- Control costs related to General Conditions and approve subcontractor draws and invoices.
- Produce daily activity reports and monitor project schedules using Construction Management Software.
- Foster cooperative relationships among the construction team and subcontractors, addressing concerns promptly.
- Monitor and enforce safety policies and conduct weekly safety meetings with subcontractors.
- Oversee on-site activities, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications, and manage project delivery.
- Provide training and career development for subordinates, acting as a mentor.
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of construction experience.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Complete and detailed experience with subcontractor and construction sequencing.
- Understanding of ASI's, RFI's, and Material Submittals.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and Procore.
- Familiarity with CMAR and/or Design/Build delivery methods.
- Valid Driver's License.
