About the position

The Multifamily Counterparty Risk & Compliance Manager at Freddie Mac plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance and managing risks associated with Seller/Servicers in the multifamily real estate sector. This position involves evaluating compliance with eligibility requirements, monitoring operational risks, and leading a team to support the organization's objectives in housing finance. The manager will implement operational plans, drive strategic vision, and foster team development while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Seller/Servicers' compliance to eligibility requirements in the Freddie Mac Multifamily Seller/Servicer Guide.
• Review annual Seller/Servicer certifications to ensure continued eligibility.
• Monitor custodial accounts and depository institutions.
• Process organizational change notifications.
• Coordinate rating agency reviews for our role as Master & Special Servicer.
• Perform various risk mitigation activities including portfolio seizures and transfers of servicing.
• Maintain Multifamily's Contingency Plan and conduct annual tabletop testing.
• Ensure accuracy of Seller/Servicer data in multiple systems.

Requirements

• College degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in real estate, risk management or a similar discipline with 2+ years of management experience.
• Strong ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously within a given timeframe.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of the financial services industry, commercial real estate, multifamily, and secondary mortgage markets.
