About the position

The Multifamily Property Manager at Billingsley Property Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a Class A Multifamily community. This role involves leading operations, leasing, and maintenance teams to ensure high standards of service for current and prospective residents. The manager will mentor team members, manage financial performance, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations while fostering a positive living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of a Class A Multifamily community.
  • Lead operations, leasing, and maintenance teams to deliver high standards to residents.
  • Review financial statements and aggregate success factors into forecasts and budgets.
  • Manage expenses in accordance with budget expectations and provide financial variance reports.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and career pathing conversations with team members.
  • Respond to resident questions, complaints, and requests in a timely manner.
  • Approve daily pricing and provide feedback on pricing recommendations.
  • Achieve budgeted occupancy by assessing historical patterns and creating action plans.
  • Conduct frequent property inspections to ensure standards of excellence are met.
  • Ensure accuracy of operational and financial reports.
  • Maintain strong vendor relations and ensure compliance with Fair Housing Laws.
  • Foster interdepartmental relationships across company verticals.
  • Monitor daily maintenance activities and assess patterns to report to the Regional Manager.
  • Control and approve property expenses and submit timely approvals.
  • Complete monthly systems audits for compliance with corporate audits.
  • Analyze market data to identify emerging trends affecting community performance.
  • Represent the company professionally and uphold high standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of multifamily experience as a Community Manager or Assistant Property Manager at a Class A Multifamily property.
  • Familiarity with Yardi, Funnel, and Yieldstar.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and foster successful team relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree).
