About the position

The Multimedia Content Creator at Le Moyne College plays a crucial role in supporting marketing objectives by developing and producing engaging multimedia content. This position primarily focuses on video content creation but also encompasses graphic communication, audio production, and multimedia editing. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and creative storytelling skills, manage content creation projects from ideation to execution, and effectively utilize various platforms for content distribution.

Responsibilities

• Ideate, plan, schedule, organize, and produce content for various platforms using best practices.
• Oversee production needs, including recording content and setting up lighting and audio engineering.
• Edit videos, perform color correction, green screening, and animations using software like Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier.
• Research and assess new content production methods and technology, making recommendations for enhancements.
• Place content on social media channels and the website.
• Maintain a content library and backups, supplying video footage/content to partnering organizations as needed.
• Oversee and collaborate with external vendors and student interns/work studies to capture content opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or an Associate Degree with significant years of related experience required.
• At least two years of experience preferred, which can include internship experience.
• Strong creative writing and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of audio, video, graphic, and digital production/communication technology.
• Advanced computer skills related to digital marketing and multimedia development, including Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier.
• Working knowledge of web content management systems preferred.
• Familiarity with social media platforms preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of the College to effectively communicate information about Le Moyne.
• Sensitivity to the importance of Le Moyne's Jesuit tradition.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Self-directed, team player with the ability to work under tight deadlines on multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with multimedia editing software beyond the required tools.
