About the position

The Multimedia Content Creator is responsible for producing, editing, and promoting video and photo content to enhance the visibility of MarineMax and its brands. This role involves collaborating with various teams to generate creative solutions and effectively communicate narratives through multimedia. The ideal candidate will capture engaging content at various events and locations, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Editing short-form and long-form videos and photography to meet specifications and deliver final products through appropriate channels.
  • Collaborating closely with the creative team to understand and realize the narrative vision.
  • Producing and editing media, graphic design, and content management on a daily basis.
  • Capturing video and photography of products, events, and team members using DSLR cameras, mobile devices, and drones.
  • Preparing and planning project logistics for upcoming shoots.
  • Contributing to or independently preparing outlines/scripts or storyboards for creative projects.
  • Collaborating with the MarineMax Marketing team on strategies for using video and photo content on social media and the web.
  • Cataloging and organizing footage and files for easy access by the marketing team.
  • Working independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Uploading video content and final products across internal and external platforms.
  • Sourcing and purchasing music/audio tracks, stock footage, and voiceovers, ensuring correct rights for usage.
  • Creating motion graphics for video content, including lower-thirds and title animations.
  • Managing and optimizing the YouTube channel.
  • Working with team members on video best practices for promotional videos and YouTube uploads.
  • Providing photography and videography at corporate events to boost company morale and engagement.
  • Supporting and working on all other tasks necessary for the team's success.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a video editor and photographer with a strong portfolio in broadcast editing, photography, and motion graphics.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, film, art, or design, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in drone/UAV photo/video; UAV FAA Certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
  • Experience with vertical reels/shorts format of social content.
