About the position

The Multimedia Designer II is responsible for creating and producing advertising media content across various platforms while adhering to established graphic standards. This role involves managing design projects from concept to implementation, collaborating with team members, and ensuring that all media content aligns with the organization's branding and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design/builds from concept to implementation efficiently.
  • Prioritize, process, and implement projects based on job assignments and departmental requests.
  • Communicate design and media build with supervisors and media team.
  • Generate media content for print, billboard, collateral, web, out of home, digital signage, and television.
  • Follow established graphic standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate on assigned projects with the media team and coordinate with client departments to fulfill media requests.
  • Design and develop concepts and direction for projects.
  • Propose, direct, and create multimedia graphics and photography.
  • Operate a computer for graphic activities, including publishing, layout, production, illustration, and file preparation.
  • Receive specific copy and text content for layout from copywriter for design/build.
  • Ensure work is consistent with organization branding and industry best practices.
  • Resolve problems beyond expectations without consulting a supervisor or escalate as needed.
  • Maintain the assigned ticket log and task system to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain equipment supply inventory.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings to communicate progress and problems.
  • Stay informed of trends and innovative techniques in multimedia design.
  • Maintain knowledge and promote current promotions and events, advertising features of the property.
  • Follow all department and casino standards to deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Fluent knowledge of Macintosh and PC Operating Systems.
  • Fluent knowledge of design and layout software such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Motion, Blackmagic DaVinci, Apple Compressor, and Adobe Media.
  • Skilled in the proper use of large format printing devices from set-up to completion of job output.
  • Skilled in the transcoding of media for various motion formats.
  • Knowledge in project traffic coordination (outdoor, print, web, and TV).
  • Knowledge of outdoor and print layout specifications.
  • Knowledge of 3 screen design layout (TV, web, and digital signage).
  • Knowledge of image acquisition equipment such as Digital SLR and HDcam devices.
  • Detail-oriented with superior time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and produce material on time in a fast-paced high output environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Advertising, Journalism, Design Production, or related area preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years related experience as a graphic designer at an ad agency or similar position.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in four color advertising design and layout, newsletter, advertising, and marketing collateral material production.
