The Multimedia Editor position at Generation Justice is an off-campus work-study opportunity designed for students who possess a Work-Study Award. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization's media projects by providing essential audio and video editing services. The position is based at the University of New Mexico, specifically in Onate Hall, Room 220, and requires a commitment of 10-15 hours per week. The Multimedia Editor will work closely under the guidance of the Executive Director, ensuring that all media content aligns with the organization's mission and standards. In this role, the Multimedia Editor will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include editing audio and video content, uploading materials to online platforms, and managing the setup and breakdown of video shoots. The ideal candidate should be proficient in using the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere and Audition, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with additional software such as iMovie, Premiere, and Final Cut Pro is considered a plus. The candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a comfort level in working within an inter-generational media justice environment.
