About the position

QuaverEd, Inc. is seeking a Multimedia Illustrator to contribute to the creation and maintenance of illustrated vector assets for their educational products. This role involves designing characters, backgrounds, props, and text graphics for interactive screens and animations, ensuring that the visuals align with educational standards and accessibility requirements. The position is based in Nashville, TN, and requires a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days in the office each week.

Responsibilities

• Create complex vector assets of characters, backgrounds, and props for use in animation and interactive design.
• Produce visual development concepts for characters, environments, and storyboards.
• Design appealing logos and text graphics that meet accessibility standards.
• Take direction from project leads, illustration manager, and art director.
• Collaborate with other art team members and educational specialists.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of professional experience in illustration or graphic design.
• Intermediate to expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or similar software.
• Understanding and experience working in pipelines used in digital production houses.
• Strong knowledge of graphic design principles.
• Ability to replicate multiple drawing styles.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Adobe XD (2 years preferred).
