About the position

The Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) at Sinclair Broadcast Group is responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories. This role involves generating story ideas, developing contacts, and producing daily content across various platforms, including television, the internet, and social media. The MMJ is expected to work independently and demonstrate sharp news judgment while adhering to NPPA style storytelling.

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.

• Produce daily content for television and digital platforms.
• Utilize social networking sites and mobile phones for content distribution.

Requirements

• Sharp news judgment.
• Ability to tell an NPPA style story.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with live shots is preferred.
• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
