About the position

WBMA/WJSU/WCFT is seeking a talented Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) to join our dynamic news team. As an MMJ, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality news content across various platforms, including television, the internet, and social media. Your primary responsibilities will include reporting, shooting, and editing news stories, as well as generating original story ideas and developing valuable contacts within the community. You will be expected to produce daily content that engages our audience and meets the high standards of our news organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your storytelling skills by crafting compelling narratives that resonate with viewers. You will work independently to cover breaking news and feature stories, ensuring that all content is accurate, timely, and relevant. Your ability to adapt to different platforms will be essential, as you will be producing content for television broadcasts, online articles, and social media updates. Collaboration with other team members and departments will also be key to your success as you contribute to the overall mission of our news organization. We are looking for a candidate who possesses sharp news judgment and excellent technical skills. You should be comfortable using various tools and technologies to capture and edit video, as well as to engage with our audience through social media. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required, as you will be traveling to various locations for news coverage.   • Experience with Live-U is a plus.
