About the position

The Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) at WKEF in Dayton, Ohio, is responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories. This role involves generating story ideas, developing contacts, and producing daily content across various platforms, including television, the internet, and social media. The MMJ is expected to work independently and demonstrate sharp news judgment while maintaining high technical standards in storytelling.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in journalism is desired.
• Experience with live shots is a plus.
• Digital experience is a plus.
• Sharp news judgment and the ability to tell an NPPA style story.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.
