About the position

WSTM/WTVH/CW6 is seeking a dedicated Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) to join our dynamic team. As an MMJ, you will play a crucial role in reporting, shooting, and editing news stories that inform and engage our audience. Your responsibilities will include not only producing daily content for television but also for various digital platforms, including the internet, social networking sites, and mobile devices. You will be expected to enterprising story ideas and develop contacts within the community to ensure a steady flow of newsworthy content. This position requires a proactive approach to journalism, where you will be expected to work independently and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines. In this role, you will utilize your sharp news judgment to identify and tell compelling stories in the NPPA style. Excellent technical skills are essential, as you will be responsible for the entire news production process, from shooting to editing. You will also need to maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record, as travel may be required for various assignments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years of reporting experience, with a strong preference for those who have experience with live shots. Familiarity with Live-U technology is a plus, as it enhances our ability to deliver live news coverage.
