About the position

The Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) at KTUL is responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories across various platforms. This role requires a proactive approach to enterprising story ideas and developing contacts, ensuring the production of daily content for television, the internet, and social media. The MMJ will work independently while maintaining high journalistic standards and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Reporting, shooting, and editing news stories
• Enterprising story ideas
• Developing contacts for news stories
• Producing daily content for television and online platforms
• Utilizing social networking sites and mobile phones for content distribution
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year reporting experience
• Experience with live shots
• Sharp news judgment
• Excellent technical skills
• Ability to work well independently
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record
