WTVC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories that engage and inform our audience. As an MMJ, you will be expected to enterprising story ideas and develop contacts within the community to enhance our news coverage. Your work will not only be limited to traditional television but will also extend to producing daily content across various platforms, including the internet, social networking sites, and mobile phones. This multifaceted position requires a proactive approach to news gathering and storytelling, ensuring that our content is timely, relevant, and compelling. You will be expected to demonstrate sharp news judgment and the ability to tell stories in a style that aligns with NPPA standards. Excellent technical skills are essential, as you will be using various tools and equipment to capture and edit video content. The ability to work independently is crucial, as you will often be responsible for managing your own assignments and deadlines. Additionally, maintaining a valid driver's license and a good driving record is a requirement for this position, as you will be traveling to various locations for news coverage.
