About the position

The Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) at KTVO is responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories across various platforms. This role requires the journalist to generate story ideas, develop contacts, and produce daily content for television, the internet, and social media. The position demands strong storytelling abilities and technical skills to engage audiences effectively.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Generate and develop story ideas.

• Utilize social networking sites and mobile phones for content distribution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field is required.
• Reporting experience is preferred.
• Excellent technical skills are necessary.
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to write concisely and conversationally.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Sharp news judgment is essential.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with live shots is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
