About the position

WHAM is looking for a Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) who will play a crucial role in reporting, shooting, and editing news stories. As an MMJ, you will be responsible for enterprising story ideas and developing contacts within the community, as well as fulfilling other responsibilities as assigned. You will be expected to produce daily content across various platforms, including the internet, social networking sites, mobile phones, and television. This position requires a sharp news judgment and the ability to tell compelling stories in the NPPA style. Excellent technical skills are essential, and the ability to work independently is a must. Additionally, you must maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record. The ideal candidate will have some reporting experience, with a preference for those who have experience with live shots. Familiarity with Live-U technology is considered a plus. The base salary for this role ranges from $19.23 to $21.21 per hour, with final compensation determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
