About the position

The Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) at WTOV is responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories. This role involves generating story ideas, developing contacts, and producing content across various platforms, including television, the internet, and social media. The MMJ will work independently to deliver daily news content and is expected to maintain high standards of news judgment and technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Generate and develop story ideas.
• Establish and maintain contacts for news stories.
• Produce daily content for television, internet, and social media platforms.
• Work independently to meet deadlines and produce quality news content.

Requirements

• Sharp news judgment.
• Ability to tell an NPPA style story.
• Excellent technical skills in multimedia production.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with live shots is preferred.
• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
