About the position

The Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) position at WKEF in Dayton, Ohio involves reporting, shooting, and editing news stories. The role requires the journalist to generate story ideas, develop contacts, and produce content across various platforms, including television, the internet, and social media.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Enterprise story ideas and develop contacts.
• Produce daily content for multiple platforms including television, internet, and social media.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in journalism is desired.
• Sharp news judgment and the ability to tell an NPPA style story.
• Excellent technical skills in shooting and editing.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with live shots is a plus.
• Digital experience is a plus.
