About the position

The Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) position at KTXS/KTXE involves reporting, shooting, and editing news stories across various platforms. The role requires creativity in story development and the ability to produce engaging content for television, the internet, and social media. The MMJ will be responsible for generating story ideas and building contacts within the community.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Enterprise story ideas and develop contacts.
• Produce daily content for television, internet, and social media platforms.
• Work independently to meet deadlines and produce high-quality journalism.

Requirements

• Sharp news judgment.
• Excellent storytelling skills in NPPA style.
• Strong technical skills in video production and editing.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with live shots is preferred.
• Experience with Live-U technology is a plus.
