About the position

The Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) position at WZTV/WUXP/WNAB involves reporting, shooting, and editing news stories across various platforms. The role requires creativity in story development and the ability to produce engaging content for television, the internet, and social media. The MMJ will work independently and may have a flexible schedule that includes mornings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Enterprise story ideas and develop contacts.
• Produce daily content for television, internet, and social media platforms.
• Work independently to meet deadlines.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years reporting experience.
• Experience with live shots is required.
• Excellent technical skills in shooting and editing.
• Sharp news judgment and storytelling ability.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
• Proven creative use of content on social platforms.
