About the position

KTVO is seeking a Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories. The role involves generating story ideas, developing contacts, and producing content across various platforms, including television, the internet, and social media.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Generate and develop story ideas.
• Establish and maintain contacts for news stories.
• Produce daily content for multiple platforms including television, internet, and social media.
• Work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field is required.
• Reporting experience is preferred.
• Excellent technical skills in shooting and editing video.
• Strong writing skills, with the ability to write concisely and conversationally.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with live shots is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
• Sharp news judgment and the ability to tell engaging stories.
