About the position

WCTI/WYDO is seeking a dedicated Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) to join our dynamic team. As an MMJ, you will play a crucial role in reporting, shooting, and editing news stories that inform and engage our audience. Your responsibilities will include not only entering story ideas but also developing contacts within the community to ensure a steady flow of newsworthy content. You will be expected to produce daily content across various platforms, including television, the internet, social networking sites, and mobile devices. This multifaceted role requires a sharp news judgment and the ability to tell compelling stories in the NPPA style, ensuring that our content is both informative and engaging. In addition to your reporting duties, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of technical skills, which are essential for shooting and editing news footage. Working independently is a key aspect of this position, as you will often be out in the field gathering news. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are mandatory, as you will be traveling to various locations to cover stories. We are looking for someone who is not only passionate about journalism but also possesses the skills to thrive in a fast-paced media environment. If you have experience with live shots and are familiar with Live-U technology, that would be a significant advantage.
