About the position

Flag Family Media is seeking a Multimedia Journalist/News Reporter to join their team in Fargo, ND. This role involves developing news content for radio, written articles, and video stories for various platforms, with a focus on engaging a younger audience through innovative journalism methods under the guidance of the News Director.

Responsibilities

• Produce and anchor newscasts
• Report on breaking news events
• Research, write and publish news stories to various websites and social media platforms
• Edit both audio and web stories for clear, factual, concise and fair reporting that adheres to the highest journalistic standards
• Be visible in the community to create relationships with community leaders and news makers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in journalism or a related field
• 1 year of experience in journalism (preferred)
• Valid Driver's License (preferred)

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with audio and video editing
• Experience with social media and publishing news stories to the web
