About the position

As a Multimedia Journalist at Spectrum News, you will be responsible for uncovering and reporting on local stories that matter to the community. This role involves engaging with community members, pitching and writing stories, shooting and editing video content, and delivering news across various platforms including television and digital media. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a supportive team to produce high-quality, timely news coverage.

Responsibilities

• Pitch, write, shoot, and edit news stories for various platforms.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in television news reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or comparable television work experience.
• Ability to shoot videos and proficiency in video editing software.
• Effective communication skills on camera and through writing.
• An innate curiosity and urgency in creating compelling stories.
