About the position

KWCH is seeking a dynamic and engaging bilingual Multimedia Journalist/Presenter to join their news team in Wichita, KS. This role focuses on delivering news content in both Spanish and English, aiming to connect with the Hispanic community across Kansas. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and effectively present stories that resonate with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Present content in both Spanish and English on a daily basis, including PKGs, weather retracts, and news block retracts.
• Shoot and edit video content for news stories.
• Work independently to gather and report news stories.

Requirements

• Native or superior Spanish language proficiency.
• Advanced High English language proficiency.
• Ability to simultaneously translate between Spanish and English.
• Grammatically sound writing ability in both Spanish and English.
• Basic journalistic, broadcasting, and presenting skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field.
