About the position

The Multimedia Journalist will be responsible for shooting, writing, and editing daily stories for on-air and digital productions. This role involves gathering material to contribute to the rundown and assisting in the production of live broadcasts. The candidate will also participate in community events and station activities, and will be expected to stay informed on current events and news in the state.

Responsibilities

• Shooting, writing, and editing daily stories for on-air and digital productions.
• Gathering material to contribute to building the rundown.
• Assisting in the production of live broadcasts.
• Keeping up to date on current events and news in the state.
• Participating in community events and station activities as Master of Ceremonies and/or Host as requested.
• Gathering news information and preparing presentations for live, online, streaming productions and social media.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Spanish market broadcast television.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required, both written and verbal.
• A high level of skill and mastery of the Spanish language is essential.
• Ability to ad-lib and improvise effortlessly in various types of on-air situations.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Independent problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Active driver's license and excellent driving record.
• Flexibility in schedule, ability to work any schedule including holidays.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a photojournalist.
• BS/BA in journalism/Communications.
• Strong Spanish writing and verbal skills.
• Must be willing to work in El Paso, TX.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
