Responsibilities

• Reporting, shooting, and editing video news stories.
• Producing content for use in multiple outlets.
• Writing and posting across various platforms, including updating the website and mobile products.
• Conducting interviews and gathering information for news stories.
• Maintaining strong familiarity with local, national, and international news and issues of the day.
• Establishing and maintaining news contacts in the community.
• Behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters a positive work atmosphere.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of newsroom experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, television broadcasting, or equivalent preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish (read and write) with the ability to interpret and translate from English to Spanish accurately.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
