Responsibilities

• Reporting, shooting, and editing video news stories.
• Producing content for use in multiple outlets.
• Writing and posting across various platforms, including updating the website and mobile products.
• Conducting walk-and-talk live shots to engage viewers.
• Gathering information and conducting interviews for assigned stories.
• Maintaining familiarity with local, national, and international news.
• Establishing and maintaining news contacts in the community.
• Maintaining a positive work atmosphere and effective communication with co-workers and supervisors.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of newsroom experience or equivalent education and experience.
• BA degree in communication, journalism, television broadcasting, or equivalent preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish (reading and writing) is required.
• Ability to interpret and translate from English to Spanish accurately.
• Willingness to work from the office in San Antonio, Texas.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to 8 hours.
• Problem identification and solution development skills.
• Flexibility to work hours including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
