About the position

KMPH is seeking a Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) to enhance storytelling through digital and social platforms in Central California. The role involves reporting, shooting, and editing news stories, as well as contributing content to various platforms. Candidates should be prepared to work weekday mornings and fill in as an anchor when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Enterprise story ideas and develop contacts.
• Contribute content to KMPH's digital and social platforms.
• Fill in as an anchor as needed.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year reporting experience is required.
• Experience with live shots is required.
• Sharp news judgment and the ability to tell an NPPA style story.
• Excellent technical skills and the ability to work well independently.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to learn how to produce newscasts.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
