About the position

WCHS is seeking a dedicated and skilled Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) to join our dynamic news team. In this role, you will be responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories that are timely and relevant to our audience. As an MMJ, you will be expected to enterprising story ideas and develop contacts within the community to enhance our news coverage. Your work will not only involve traditional television reporting but also producing daily content across various platforms, including the internet, social networking sites, and mobile devices. This multifaceted position requires a journalist who is adaptable and can thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that our news stories reach our audience wherever they are. You will be tasked with creating engaging and informative content that resonates with viewers and readers alike. The ideal candidate will possess sharp news judgment and the ability to tell compelling stories in an NPPA-style format. Excellent technical skills are essential, as you will be using various tools and technologies to capture and edit video content. Working independently is a key aspect of this role, and you must be self-motivated and proactive in seeking out news stories. Additionally, maintaining a valid driver's license and a good driving record is a requirement for this position, as you will be traveling to various locations for reporting assignments.
