About the position

The Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) at WCHS is responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories across various platforms. This role requires creativity in developing story ideas and building contacts, while producing daily content for television, the internet, and social media.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Develop and pitch story ideas.
• Build and maintain contacts for news gathering.
• Produce daily content for multiple platforms including television, internet, and social media.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Some reporting experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism preferred.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Sharp news judgment.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with live shots is preferred.
• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
