About the position

The Multimedia Journalist at TelevisaUnivision in Atlanta is responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing video news stories while producing content for various platforms. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure in a live news environment, and a proactive attitude. The successful candidate will engage with the community, maintain news contacts, and stay informed about current events.

Responsibilities

• Reporting, shooting, and editing video news stories.
• Producing content for multiple outlets.
• Writing and posting across various platforms, including updating the website and mobile products.
• Conducting interviews and gathering information for news stories.
• Performing walk-and-talk live shots to engage viewers.
• Maintaining familiarity with local, national, and international news.
• Establishing and maintaining news contacts in the community.
• Maintaining a positive work atmosphere and effective communication with co-workers and supervisors.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of newsroom experience or equivalent education and experience.
• BA degree in communication, journalism, television broadcasting, or equivalent preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish (reading and writing) is required.
• Ability to interpret and translate from English to Spanish accurately.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, and sit for up to 8 hours.
• Problem identification and solution development skills.
