The Observer-Reporter is seeking a Multimedia Journalist to join its team, responsible for delivering vital news, sports, and feature stories to the community of Washington and Greene counties. This role involves effective digital storytelling, maintaining communication with the editor, and meeting daily deadlines for both print and digital audiences. The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive team culture and engage with the community through their reporting.

Responsibilities

• Learn and employ all techniques for effective digital storytelling.
• Maintain clear communication with the editor.
• Meet daily deadlines with content for print and digital audiences.
• Contribute to a positive culture of teamwork and collaboration.
• Create content with print and digital audiences in mind.
• Work on special projects for the newspaper.

Requirements

• A college degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong reporting, writing, organizational, and time management skills.
• Experience with newspaper page design.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced newsroom and reprioritize assignments as needed.
