About the position

WGME is seeking a Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) to join our nightside reporting team. The role involves reporting, shooting, and editing news stories, as well as developing story ideas and contacts. The MMJ will produce daily content for both linear and digital platforms, contributing to WGME's reputation for excellence in reporting and investigative journalism.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Develop and pitch story ideas.
• Build and maintain contacts for news stories.
• Produce daily content for linear and digital platforms.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years reporting experience is required.
• Experience with live shots is required.
• Excellent technical skills in multimedia journalism.
• Sharp news judgment and storytelling ability.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
• A track record of successfully using multiple digital platforms.
