About the position

The Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) position at KABB/KMYS involves reporting, shooting, and editing news stories across various platforms. The role requires creativity in story development and the ability to produce engaging content for television, the internet, and social media. The MMJ will be responsible for generating story ideas and building contacts within the community.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Develop and pitch story ideas.
• Build and maintain contacts for news gathering.
• Produce daily content for television and digital platforms.
• Utilize social networking sites and mobile phones for content distribution.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of reporting experience is required.
• Experience with live shots is required.
• Excellent technical skills in multimedia journalism.
• Sharp news judgment and storytelling ability.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
