About the position

The Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) at KGAN is responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories, as well as developing story ideas and contacts. The role requires producing daily content across various platforms, including television, the Internet, and social media.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Enterprise story ideas and develop contacts.
• Produce daily content for television and online platforms.
• Utilize social networking sites and mobile phones for content distribution.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of reporting experience.
• Experience with live shots is required.
• Sharp news judgment and the ability to tell an NPPA style story.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
