About the position

KRCG 13 has an exciting opportunity for a Multimedia Journalist! We want someone who loves breaking news and doesn't follow the pack. We are looking for diggers who find original, impactful stories that hold people in power accountable, ask tough questions, question the answers, follow how tax dollars are being spent, and keep an eye on the Government to make sure it is doing its job. You will also be expected to produce daily content on various platforms including the Internet, social networking sites, mobile phones, and television. This role requires a sharp news judgment and the ability to tell an NPPA style story. Excellent technical skills are essential, as well as the ability to work well independently. Additionally, you must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record. As a Multimedia Journalist, you will be responsible for covering breaking news stories, conducting interviews, and producing engaging content that resonates with our audience. You will work closely with the news team to ensure that all stories are accurate, timely, and relevant. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the community by informing the public and holding those in power accountable. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of reporting experience is required.
  • Experience with live shots is required.
  • Sharp news judgment and the ability to tell an NPPA style story.
  • Excellent technical skills are essential.
  • Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Live-U is a plus.
