About the position

The Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) at WCHS is responsible for reporting, shooting, and editing news stories across various platforms, including television, internet, and social media. The role requires a proactive approach to generating story ideas and developing contacts, ensuring the production of daily content that engages the audience.

Responsibilities

• Report, shoot, and edit news stories.
• Enterprise story ideas and develop contacts.
• Produce daily content for television, internet, and social media platforms.
• Work independently to meet deadlines and produce high-quality journalism.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Some reporting experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in journalism preferred.
• Excellent technical skills.
• Sharp news judgment.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Must have and maintain a valid license and a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with live shots is preferred.
• Experience with Live-U is a plus.
