About the position

ABC17 News is looking for a full-time Multimedia Journalist who will engage in live reporting and contribute innovative story ideas in a research-driven newsroom environment. The role requires flexibility to adapt to various tasks including beat reporting, video shooting, production, and web editing.

Responsibilities

• Gather information and conduct interviews for news stories.
• Write and edit news scripts for nightly newscasts and the station's website.
• Shoot video footage for news segments.
• Cultivate sources to develop story ideas.
• Perform live reporting in the field.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, or a related field.
• Strong writing and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in videography and video editing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional on-camera presence.
• Valid Missouri driver's license.
