About the position

Vanguard's Financial Advisor Services (FAS) Marketing team is seeking a Multimedia Lead to guide a team in creating compelling stories for Financial Advisors. This role focuses on developing a strategy for video and motion design to showcase thought leadership and investment products, adapting to the evolving media consumption trends. The Multimedia Lead will oversee a growing team, ensuring high-quality multimedia output and collaboration with internal clients and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of multimedia strategists to develop a best-in-class multimedia function.
• Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew members, providing guidance and training as necessary.
• Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions.
• Organize and facilitate brainstorming sessions and critiques to drive content and design solutions.
• Collaborate with internal clients to determine creative tools and solutions and ensure appropriate staffing.
• Lead external vendor strategy for creative services.
• Set measurable goals to increase efficiency, performance, and quality of team output.
• Quantify and review team efficiency by analyzing data and researching root causes of issues.
• Audit crew and team work for quality control.
• Identify opportunities to revise or dispose of obsolete or inefficient processes.
• Provide status updates to the business regarding various creative services projects.
• Partner with senior leaders to prioritize projects and resolve complex creative services issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years related work experience, with at least two years in design, advertising, or communications.
• Experience facilitating creative brainstorming sessions and critiques.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; Graphic Design or other creative arts degree preferred.
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Previous experience hiring, evaluating, and leading others is highly preferred.
