About the position

The Multimedia Networking Specialist at TEKsystems is responsible for managing and producing multimedia content, particularly live streaming services, for a client based in Frankfort, KY. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing various media productions to meet the audio/video needs of the client, including educational video content streamed on platforms like YouTube and Microsoft Teams. The specialist will also provide technical support and ensure the proper operation of webcast technologies, while staying updated on emerging technologies to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Manage educational video content that is webcast live or recorded on multiple channels including YouTube, Microsoft Teams, and Facebook.
  • Record and publish webcast events from remote locations and in a studio.
  • Edit, archive, publish, and produce media projects to meet complex and high-volume video and webcasting needs.
  • Assist in setting up and coordinating live webcasts for the client.
  • Support multiple platform and access methods for staff.
  • Ensure proper operation of the technical aspects of webcast technologies including VPN connectivity support and local network connectivity for off-site video/audio services.
  • Stay up to date on new and emerging technologies that could improve existing services or create new, innovative solutions.
  • Utilize tracking tools to accurately record work effort against current processes in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including periodic on-call duty outside normal business hours.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with OBS, KVMs, YouTube, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Zoom, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Audition).
  • Knowledge of video switcher hardware (Blackmagic ATEM HDMI and/or SDI switcher) and Blackmagic DSLR cameras.
  • Experience with Canon XA camcorders, Manfrotto tripods, and XLR mixers/microphones.
  • Prior live streaming experience and experience with 'run and gun' filming.
  • Experience with studio filming, green screen technology, and teleprompters.
  • Technical support experience in a corporate environment.
  • Good verbal and technical writing skills, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • 2 years' experience in a similar position preferred.
