About the position

The Multimedia Producer Videographer at Johnson & Wales University is responsible for developing and executing video concepts for various multimedia projects that align with the university's strategic goals. This role involves collaborating with creative teams, managing video production logistics, and ensuring high-quality post-production work. Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the university's creative teams to develop video concepts that align with the university's strategic goals.
  • Manages lighting and audio equipment, set preparation, and staging to capture quality video and audio.
  • Utilizes knowledge of post-production work to produce high-quality audio and video, including editing video to music and color grading.
  • Manages video assignments across all campuses, including scheduling and coordinating logistics for efficient execution.
  • Collaborates with department managers and university partners to define the nature, communications intent, and partner expectations for assignments.
  • Archives visual assets in the university's digital library for future use and manages the scheduling and maintenance of media production infrastructure.
  • Stays abreast of technological advancements and trends in digital videography software and equipment.
  • Supervises and manages student employees to enhance their academic and professional development.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • Moderate amount of experience working in videography, documentary filmmaking, or other related experience.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Federal Aviation Administration drone pilot certification.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of digital asset management systems.
