About the position

The Multimedia Production Developer at O'Reilly Auto Parts is responsible for designing and creating 3D images and animations for training video modules. This role aims to enhance the understanding of automotive systems and concepts through high-quality graphics integrated into training materials. The developer will collaborate with the content team to produce engaging multimedia content that supports various training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create 3D animations to support company training initiatives.
  • Utilize 3D animation software to model, rig, texture, and animate assets.
  • Collaborate with the design and development team to integrate animations into multimedia projects.
  • Process and render high-quality animations and visual effects for training videos.
  • Edit and refine animations based on team feedback and peer reviews.
  • Use audio, text, and other assets to enhance the animation experience.
  • Maintain and update 3D assets for training materials as needed.
  • Capture and edit images using digital and traditional tools.
  • Document animation workflows and project efforts for future reference.
  • Assist in audio syncing and post-production tasks.
  • Support localization of animations into different languages when needed.
  • Participate in peer review of created content and audit files for accuracy.
  • Engage in audio recording, video productions, or photo shoots as required.

Requirements

  • Experience using 3D animation software such as Blender, Autodesk Maya, or Cinema 4D.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Demonstrated expertise in 3D design and animation for creating and editing assets.
  • Solid design skills to create interactive training courses.
  • Working understanding of copyright and legal use of materials.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in multimedia production, instructional technology, computer science, graphic design, or a similar field; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, and Pro Tools.
  • Familiarity with Articulate or other e-Learning course building tools.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
