About the position

The Multimedia Production Specialist will play a key role in planning, developing, and producing a variety of multimedia services. This position involves providing technical assistance in areas such as graphic design, multimedia production, and photography, while also troubleshooting hardware and software issues. The specialist will coordinate workflows, manage production schedules, negotiate with vendors, and support web administration staff, contributing to the overall success of multimedia communication projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate planning, developing, and producing multimedia services.
  • Provide technical assistance related to editing, graphic design, multimedia production, printing, photography, and exhibit design.
  • Troubleshoot and support hardware and software problems affecting content creation and delivery.
  • Assist in coordinating the workflow of creative assets through the production release process.
  • Identify priorities and production schedules for projects.
  • Negotiate with outside vendors for project needs.
  • Prepare budget requests and reports related to multimedia projects.
  • Provide design support to executive and public website administration staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications Design, Video, or a related field and two years of experience producing multimedia communication projects; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; or six years of such experience.
  • Knowledge of print, digital, and audio/video production, editing, and specialized design and editing software applications.
  • Experience prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality designs under tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications Design, Video, or a related field (preferred).
  • At least six years of experience producing print and multimedia communication projects (preferred).
  • Experience developing materials and executing multimedia campaigns, both in print and electronically.
