About the position

The Multimedia Production Specialist at the Congressional Research Service (CRS) plays a crucial role in supporting the production of audiovisual content for congressional events. This position involves technical support throughout the video production process, including pre-production, production, and post-production phases. The specialist will work closely with CRS staff to create engaging video and audio content that informs and supports congressional activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for audiovisual production during CRS events, including lighting, video recording, and audio mixing.
• Record, edit, and produce audio and video content for Congress and CRS employees.
• Assist in the administrative support of multimedia-related activities.
• Coordinate and manage the production of videos and podcasts to inform Congress.
• Engage in outreach to Congress by developing and presenting information about CRS programs, products, and services.
• Manage media relations, social media, websites, and internal communications.

Requirements

• Experience in multimedia production, including video and audio editing.
• Proficiency in using audiovisual equipment and software for production.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.
