About the position
The Multimedia Specialist position at the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) involves utilizing technical expertise and creativity to develop and deliver multimedia content for training and educational purposes. The role encompasses a variety of tasks including video/audio production, course authoring, and web development, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. This position is available in temporary, part-time, and full-time capacities, with a flexible schedule primarily during standard business hours.
Responsibilities
- Utilize expert technical knowledge and creativity to create synchronous and asynchronous distributed learning for DLA and DoD employees.
- Provide multimedia services including video/audio recording, TV/video production, and Distance Learning broadcast support.
- Plan, develop, produce, direct, and edit online, filmed, or taped television/video productions for information, education, and training purposes.
- Ensure all products comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
- Utilize a personal computer and various software packages for course authoring, graphics, animation, and interactive video.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- One year of specialized experience related to multimedia production and instructional media design.
- Education must be from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Ability to assist customers in determining multimedia production work order requirements.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in web accessibility standards and practices.
- Familiarity with Distance Learning technologies and best practices.
